We had to take up all the laminate flooring just to turn it round the other way, so it doesn't even look any different, but I will be asking everyone to PLEASE say "Oooh what a lovely floor" just to make me feel better.
I am now rather good at laying floors so if anyone wants any floor laying done I'm available on a Monday!! I'll not be bringing Jamie though as his measuring skill are awful, we've got loads of offcuts if anyone wants them!!!
Back there again today, putting up more slat wall and moving the counter, ect. I'm looking at it all at the mo and thinking OMG why did I start this, but I won't say it loud as Ricky would shout back "I told you so" and we never want to let the men be right, do we!
Oh, by the way I've found sooooo much stuff that I didn't even realise I had, so if I didn't know I had it then I won't miss it!! There's been a few damages as well, so we'll be doing a ONCE LOVED and SLIGHTLY DAMAGED SALE. I'll let you know ASAP re the date on that.
Hope everyone had a great crimbo and I wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
See you in January xx

I would like to wish you all a very MAGICAL CHRISTMAS
THANK YOU ALL for your continued SUPPORT

I am sorry about the kits this month! What with all the excitement of Ally Pally and the packing and unpacking of all the new stock we have atm... October's kit is late. Marion did take them to the Make A Wish crop in Romford last Saturday, so if you brought one... thank you and you are a lucky bunny ;)
This months kit consists of all Autumnal themed papers and colours... if you like the cosmo cricket 'mr.campy' range, then you'll love this one! It has some funky textures going on too ~ from velvet to acrylic and then to cork. Yes, cork! Honestly you need this kit ;)
And as I am in the shop tomorrow... piccies will be posted. That is unless they are all sold out!
We are all busy designing our November/December classes too (keep your eyes peeled). Many of these will be good as Christmas gifts (or if you can't bare to part with them a little something for yourself :) ) The dates will be released soon! For those of you who are eager to do something now, we did have spaces avaliable on Marion's card classes that were previously full. Please pop into the shop or give us a call if you're interested. I am running 'You spin me round' this sunday afternoon... if you fancy a twirl and a go at this LO class. Nina is busy with her beginners, whom i've met/spoke to a few ~ we have such lovely ladies as our customers (and the few men we have who are lovely too) and her halloween treat box :) You can peek at our classes on our store site www.sugarandspicecrafts.co.uk , unfortunately to get full views you will have to pop into the shop. We are flatered to be copied but we don't want to make it easy
And just to finish with... have you all been watching (if you're not watching start! It's a funny look into family life...) The Family on Channel four on Wednesday nights??? I am loving it :) :) :) Even Kev is getting into it. Although it partly scares me as I kinda feel in 15 years time our house will be similar as we have a daughter called Emily and I know Kev will be shouting at her for coming and going at all hours ;)
See you all tomorrow! x

It was an absolutely brilliant show, CREDIT CRUNCH ! what credit crunch???
If any of you are reading this THANK YOU for all your lovely comments, we put so much effort into getting the stand just right, it still amazes me how it takes us 5-6 hours to put it up and it comes down in 1.5 hours, but not without ALL the help I get, you GIRLS were FANTASTIC, SUPER, BRILLIANT and you made it such fun, even though I was a complete WIMP (THANKS BEV, BANANA FROG)! I got a wee bit ill on the Saturday and nurse Maggie MADE me take a bit of a rest in the car for half an hour, but I felt so guilty as the stand was PACKED nearly all day, sorry for those of you who couldn't even get onto the stand.
Sadly I still didn't feel good on Saturday night, so I didn't go out with the CTM girls, but our lot did and Oh! what a night I missed, but I'll not worry as one of the other girls got a video of some of the ACTION. I don't think I'll be putting it on here, let's just leave it at that.

ANYWAY enough of work for just one minute...BIG BROTHER, it has got to be a fix, no offence to RACHEL but how did she stay in over STUART??? and that NICOLE....well she just needs a bloomin' BIG SLAP, I can't even think of one nice thing to say about her, so I'll say nothing at all.
Did anyone see X FACTOR on Saturday, how funny is that. In fact it was so funny that I had to watch it again on Sunday night, just to see the two brothers from Wales singing (allegedly) Misterious Girl, I get confused with my self as one minute I'm screaming with LAUGHTER and the next I feel SORRY for them.
Sunday, 17 August 2008

Friday, 1 August 2008
Have just heard that we should be getting all the NEW KAISER stuff in within the next 7 to 10 days. OMG where is it all going to go. The rest should arrive by the end of August, if not before !!!!
My new STAMPS have arrived and we've been playing with them today. I'll pop a few piccy's on soon, SORRY but I left my camera at the shop.
If anyone out there is watching BIG BROTHER can we all VOTE REX OFF pleeease..... he is sooooo annoying.
For those of you that voted for us in the CRAFT AWARDS last year, THANK YOU (we got runner up).... and HEY..... you can VOTE again, if you think we deserve it.
Ally Pally is sneaking up on us, it comes round so quick, maybe because it's 2 a year, DOH !!! So we're going to be getting lots of yummy samples ready for that.
I can see a really BUSY time ahead this next two months, so if you see any of us sitting in the corner and rocking, just come up and give us a HUG.
Thursday, 24 July 2008
We saw Journey to the Centre of the Earth, I'm assuming it was meant to be tounge in cheek, as it was sooooo far fetched it was UNBELIEVABLE.
Then we went........Shopping, this time to the WOODFIELD MALL, but apart from some shoes for Ricky, I much preferred the WESTFIELD MALL, had a lovely lunch in Ruby Tuesday's. I don't think I could dare ask Rick to take me to another shopping mall, I do believe he's all shopped out, he's been an absolute DIAMOND driving me all over the place and I really mean ALL OVER THE PLACE.
So we're about to start packing getting ready for our journey back tomorrow, and then it will all be over and I'll be in the shop on Sunday. It seems like ages ago that I was at the show, I've already had confirmation that one company has shipped out. Boy that was quick!!!
Thanks for sharing with me and see you all soon. xxx

So off we went to Gurnee Mills, THANKS (VICKY, CAPTURE THE MAGIC) got some bits, bobs and bargains there, oh and had some JAMBA JUICE, also recommnded by Vicky.
From there we went to Michaels ( a bit like Hobby Craft) a SUPER TARGET and........ a HOBBY LOBBY. in all the years I've been coming to the US and all the States I've visited, approx 14 I've never found a HOBBY LOBBY, so I was well chuffed. again, thanks Vicky.
So we park the car and get a photo (see below) I have to hold myself back from running for two reasons really, one this body was not designed to run and two I needed to keep a bit of dignity if only for Ricky's sake. Get to the door and..... NO it wasn't closed, I know of you were thinking that ! BUT we only had 30 minutes before it did close !!!!! Managed to get a book for MAGGIE and not much else really, but HEY HO at least I've been now.
Weather looks really nice today so we're driving to Lake Michigan and we'll see where we end up from there.
I'll keep you posted........
On Sunday I ran my first of two full classes... I hope you all enjoyed them ;) I cannot wait to see the different LO ideas Jayne comes up with! And to see them all with piccies in too. Thank you for being such wonderful ladies and bearing with my mad moments of panic as we sped through two classes full of stitching, cutting and ribbon. I think everyones jacobs ladders worked, didn't they??
I think we have spaces for Saturday still for Nina's two beautiful LO's 'All torn up' and 'Nature's Beauty'... I just need the pens for the cricut now! They are up in the shop so pop in and have a peek, see if you fancy them.
