IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BAUBLES...

My second post this month (just got in) LOL ... For the Jones Design Team is again using the lovely Graphic 45 T'was the Night Before Christmas collection. This time I'm making little baubles, as taught to me years ago by the lovely Paula Brown.   They're so quick and simple to make, so get the kids involved and you can fill a tree in no time. You can use any size circle punch, my fav is the 1.75" , so go ahead and punch out loads of circles On a scoreboard score down the centre, do this on all the circles Using DST adhere the halves together Keep going all the way round, but before you finish pop a bit of Glossy down one of the joins and add some folded twine Finish off by adding more circles And hang with pride....now I just have to make a few more to add to my 'tree' Happy bauble making Hugs Marion xx     Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts

STAYING CREATIVELY SANE....

This is a little homage to the two wonderful ladies who have helped me no end, getting ready for the Handmade Fair.....i couldn't have done it without you guys ....Thank you Paula and Suzanne, I started off with this gorgeous little Maya Road Calendar stand......but did I use it for a calendar ... NO... to me, it's a mini album, actually everything in my life is a mini album....I love them. It's fab as it has such a sturdy acrylic base and thick chipboard pages, that it takes Heidi Swapp Colour Shine just perfect. I know you can't see it clearly here, but the mica is just beautiful. I've done every other page, using the fab PaperArtsy collage background technique, as shown to us by the wonderful Leandra. I could happily teach this technique forever as no two ever come out the same !!! I may just do another class in it...watch out for the Sugar and Spice newsletter.       And yes, of course it will be on display at the show :) :) Hugs Marion xxx   Another great po

JUST ONE LITTLE EXCUSE...

That was all I needed to justify playing with some yummy Heidi Swapp stash. This is the front cover and here's a few sneaks inside .... It was so gorgeous and simple to create with...I can't wait to play some more Sorry none of it is on the website yet, BUT.... it will be at the Handmade Fair with us, we're on stand A71 in the East Tent and we'll be holding make and takes all day, using WOW Embossing Powder and PaperArtsy yummy products.... We're doing WOW in the morning and PaperArtsy in the afternoon....AND there's lots of brand new products - choose your colours, create your masterpiece and take it home and give it pride of place See you there Hugs Marion xxx   Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts

JUST A QUICKIE....

When you need a card in a hurry (like I always do) !!!! May I suggest a couple of strips of the gorgeous Sew Lovely Range , cut a few stars, emboss a couple with the fabbi chevron folder, add a bit of twine a bit of bling and a sentiment...and TA DA !!!!   Hugs Marion xxx   Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts

AHHH....CHRISTMAS...

One of my posts for the fabbi Jones Design Team this month is all about Christmas ....loves me a bit of crimbo :) :) I decided to make a mini album, ready to put this years snap shots in and what better to use than the gorgeous Graphic 45 T'was the Night Before Christmas collection. To start I just put together some sheets of corrugated card and cut them into 6" x 6" squares and one I cut at 4" x 6". Knowing that I wanted to tear some of the papers I painted around the edge of the corrugated card, after tearing a few corners from it. Next it's all about, adding the papers, tearing and rolling as you go then adding chipboard elements along with Cardstock die cuts. So go grab your corrugated card and Graphic 45 papers and......create :) :) Hugs Marion xxx   Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts

HELLO WORLD...

There's nothing like making a gift for someone...BUT.... it's quite hard when you don't know the person !!! I wanted to say THANK YOU to someone who helped me out recently, and I found out he was expecting a baby, so thought...'I know, I do a mini album'....loves me a mini album. Not knowing what the sex will be, what better paper to use than the gorgeous Webster's Pages Hello World . I added a bit of dimension using the fabbi Paper Artsy Grunge Paste , any excuse LOL !!! I included buttons, banners, twine and glitter ...oh and not forgetting ribbon, of course !!! And this was the result... It's now been lovingly wrapped in tissue and posted...hope they like it :) :) Hugs Marion xx   Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts
