I MAY HAVE BEEN BORING......

BUT..... I followed all the rules this month...Swoon !!! I've only gone and done a card (it's what time permitted) but I kept to the masculine theme and the Earthtone colours, it wasn't hard as I was using one of my all time favourite colours - Earthtone Olive ... I LOVE this colour, I also thought it went rather nice with the Earthtone Blueberry and Earthtone paprika ...all food associated - I'll put that down to coincidence LOL !! I started off by cutting out a couple of stars, inked up an embossing folder with Versamark, laid the stars inside it and run it through the Cuttlebug, the Versamark transferred to the debossed part of the stars, apply Blueberry and heat set, I did get a little extra on there, but as this is for a man, the "distressed" look works On the fold of the card I inked up one of the Funky Border Stamps and embossed it with Olive, added a scrap piece of card stock in a complimentary colour, then punched a scalloped card stock strip

WHEN IS A BOW NOT A BOW ???

When it's a KNOT !!! This month for Fantastic Ribbons the design team are doing all about bows, now, as a scrap store owner and teacher, I know loads of you just want to run away at the thought of doing a bow, but I wanted to let you know that it's OK, you don't have to hang your head in shame... you can cheat !!! I personally think knots look just as cute as bows, especially for mens cards. That's not to say you can't get some exquisite bows out of these ribbons.... I could have gone on and on and on :) :) For this card I used the Gingham and Satin Edged Organza, now this isn't just any old gingham, oh no... the softness for a start makes it so easy to work with, and it's got a gorgeous little loopy edge (I love this) and the Organza will work with anything, perfect for that "filling in" piece. I do like things in threes. This card is great for using up your scraps, and when you need something quick. You don't have to go all the way ro

ARE YOU READY FOR CHRISTMAS....

QVC are getting ready !!! So on Friday I went up to West London and spent the day filming a promo shoot for their Christmas in July shows.... More deets to follow soon :) :) Stephanie was doing some FAB crafting on cupcakes...actually, thinking about it, she didn't share any...I may have to have a word with her about that ... Hee hee Amy was busy on cards and I was working on a Scrapbook...probably the three most important memory making elements in a crafters life !!! The house we were filming in was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !!!! From the outside it just looked like a three bed semi...BUT...Oh my goodness ...THE INSIDE !!! Well, stunning. Oh and did i mention it was far from a three bed semi...it had 5 bedrooms and seven bathrooms. !!!! I did get photos and videos of the place but I think it would be wrong to post them on here, one, because of the owners privacy and two, because you'd all be very jealous and have the hump !!! After whizzing home through the London traffic, I got back in t

JUST A QUICKIE......

One of the great things about working for QVC is getting to work alongside some amazingly talented ladies...two very important ladies to me are Caroline Blanchard and Sandy Piercey, they do some amazing behind the scenes work. They're in a very privileged position, where they get to sit at Q Towers and make LOTS of samples for the Craft Shows and their work is FAB !!!!! They never let me down and given the amount of work they have to do, they never cease to amaze me with the projects they come up with. Sandie has finally got herself a blog, where she can showcase all of her fab designs and ideas.....so if you want some inspo, just nip on over HERE and take a peak, why not become a follower whilst your there. Now all we need is Caroline to get herself a blog/showcase, I mean it's not like she's busy or anything LOL !!! Enjoy Hugs Marion xxx

TODAY HAS.....

Been ALL about packing..... for QVC that is, you see I have a show tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1pm, it's called Celebration Crafting, this is the second one I've done, and I soooo loved the first one, whilst it's mainly about weddings and occasions, I've tried to do samples so that you can "lift" it into your own card making or scrapbooking, there's so many items that are multi functional... Here's a cute little card I've done, that you can so easily adapt, stamp any sentiment in the centre, get a mahoosive doily and do it as a scrap book layout, with the photo in the centre !! Swap out the flowers for stars and stamp congrats in the centre. So tune in, if you can and see what's on offer, plus all the wonderful inspo, as usual. On Saturday the 19th May at 10am I'm doing a scrapbook class....called...... You WOW! my heart, it's a beautiful layout with a splash of colour, using the WOW Embossing Powders, you can even choose your own colour
