Just thought I'd do a quick share of our afternoon with Mr Holtz. It certainly was a play, play, play kinda day, as usual he showed us some great techniques, that you think "now, why didn't I think of that"!!! And there's some REALLY exciting NEW product coming your way. We made three rather gorgeous canvases (sorry forgot to get a picci, but they'll be in the shop to see) Here's a little sneak of Paula working away on one of them, my favourite actually !!! (apologies, but I don't know how or even if I can turn the photo the right way up on this iPad)!! So you'll just have to turn yours heads LOL !! Dy Reavley taught a class as well, needless to say it was bursting with colour and just gorgeous, she's one very talented lady. I've never known Nina so quiet, the concentration was immense at some points We used the Claudine Hellmuth Studio paints, that we have in the shop and just had such fun getting our fingers dirty!! We've already come

HI HO !!!

It's off to Brum we go.... at that point you need to be whistling like the seven dwarfs !!! Yep, on Saturday we're off to Birmingham for the UK trade show. Now I know it's not quiet LA, but it'll be a lot cheaper !!! Saturday afternoon we're doing a class with the lovely Tim Holtz (and yes he is a really lovely guy) then Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, we're buying, meeting lovely people, buying, meeting more lovely people, crafting, buying a bit more and then hey ho, while we're there we may as well meet up with more lovely people, it's probably going to be one of the busiest shows we've ever done, we have so many "meet ups" it's a little bit crazy..... I'm back in the shop on wednesday where I'll be teaching Nina's class, then doing the last minute packing as on Thursday morning I'm off to the Make It show in Farnborough until Sunday, I haven't done this one since 2008, so I'm really looking forward to that AND pr

HERE IT IS.....

As promised... the Tutorial on the PAPER FLOWERS whoop whoop !!! Hope you enjoy Marion xx

PAPER FLOWERS

Here I am trying to sort out the jet lag and what better way to do that than make some cards. Here I wanted to share with you a couple of paper flowers I made while I was away, remember my last post where I mentioned I was sitting in bed making flowers, well this is what I came up with, it's a bit of a twist on the original spiral flower but I wanted to make it more vintagy (is that even a word?) Next I made a spiky one (spell check told me that was right, but it looks wrong to me, answers on a postcard please) Here's a close up As you can see I didn't have much product at home to play with and I think a bit of glamour dust wouldn't have gone amiss, but you get the gist. I'm going to try and do a You Tube Vid On these (I haven't done one for ages, shame on me) let me know if you fancy seeing how they're made. Hugs Marion xx - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

EYE CANDY.....

Well it looks like some of the new releases from CHA might be with us on Tuesday/Wednesday. Whoop whoop !!! How quick is that !!! I've come back full of inspo and can't wait to share.... While Rick was snoring away I sat in my bed in the hotel and started making flowers at 2AM, well seriously, what's a girl to do? I'm trying to make the time and show you them on You Tube...watch this space. Now, here's the eye candy I forgot to put on here the other day.....Ladies, give it up for Mario Lopez Hugs Marion xx - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

OUR LAST DAY.....

Oh well all good things must come to an end... The sun has shone, we managed FOUR trips to the cheesecake factory and no it doesn't just sell cheesecake!!! Our second from last trip was with Kirsty,Amanda and Simon, Kirsty decided on one of the small burgers Gosh... She's gonna kill me for that!!! Although we mainly go in there for the main course meals (YUMMY) they are pretty damn good at cheesecake (as the name would imply), these are the 3 that Kirsty ordered ... But she did let us share....thanks Kirsty. While we were at Fairfax we saw Mario Lopez being interviewed (saved by the bell) if you remember that, then you're showing your age!!! Then we went on to Laguna Beach.... Well what can I say .... STUNNING Albeit empty!!! If you look closely me and rick are in a dinghy in the far distance... I wish!!!! (OK, admit it, who looked ?) Looking forward to getting back home although not looking forward to the cold weather and the 11 hour flight... Hey ho !! Hugs Marion xxx - P
