WELCOME

Hi and welcome to my very first BLOG, I hope you find it interesting and inspirational and I hope to update regularly (work life permitting).

If anyone wants to give me tips then I'm all ears, I go steaming ahead and do these things and don't really understand how they work.

I've just read someone else's blog and thought yeah I can share my exploits with anyone who wants to read them.

I'll start with yesterday... we recently got a gorgeous new puppy (chocolate labrador) called Tyson who gets into all kinds of mischief but yesterday was the worst kind, i thought I'd pop in and see my mum before she went off to Prague, so I took the dog round there and he was happily bouncing around in the garden when all of a sudden she shouts out that he's eating RAT POISON !!! So minutes later we're at the vets, much to he's dismay, and two injections and £260.00 later he was feeling rather sorry for himself and so was I, I might add!! but pleased to say he's absolutely fine now and back to bouncing around, I knew we called him Tyson the Dyson for a reason, he hoovers anything up. Oh and whilst I was off with him, keeping an eye on him, I actually sat in the garden for the first time this year and GOT SUNBURNT !!!

I know it's only Tuesday but I think I'd like to get this week out of the way, and obviously I'm going to have to scrap the very first vets bill.

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking

Embedding Sparkles... video tutorial

Here’s a great little Technique, that shows you how to embed your WOW! Sparkles without the use of adhesives.
Enjoy.
