I PROMISE TO......

Well, it's the LAST week of trading from our Barleylands shop, after 12 years we're closing our lovely wooden doors.....but new ones are opening...more deets will follow in time, nudge, nudge, wink, wink !!!
If you can join us on Sunday 21st June we're having a leaving party...Prosecco and cupcakes all round...and a few sausage rolls to make my mum happy !!! We'll be there from 10am - 4pm, but don't worry you can still get our gorgeous goodies from HEREhttp://sugarandspicecrafts.co.uk/collections/new-in. Including the brand NEW WOW! Embossing Powder colours, stamps and moulds...they're gorgeous....here's a little sneak of the Flights of Fancy Stamps and a couple of the colours...SWOOOOOON !!!!
I'm so aware that working from home will be sooooooo different, and I know I'm going to have to be so organised....tips on a postcard please. But I'm working on it.
My first thing is to get the website upto date with product...so many have been coming in the shop and grabbing their last bits, so I NEED to get organised there and ADD loads more...toot toot !!
Then, after talking to some of my lovely customers (you know who you are) I've decided to do a challenge blog once a month, more deets will follow, but it will show me what you love doing, after all, you're all just looking at my creations, this will be my turn to see yours and get others looking at your work too.
Some of you know that my new studio is a shade of teal and white (why wouldn't it be ?) LOL.... So imagine my surprise when I got home the other day to a parcel from California and in it was the MOST gorgeous glass bowl AND some Reece's Peanut Butter Cups (my whole reason for wanting to live in America) from the lovely Jen Deal, we spent time together in Boston and the hotel had a lovely bowl that I got a bit infatuated with, she remembered and sent me a very similar one to go in my new studio...so sweet, so kind, so thoughtful !!! Thank you (again) Jen.
Lots of you know I'm very active on Facebook, Instagram, You Tube and (when I remember) Pinterest LOL.. So you may want to subscribe to those to Catch all the goings on, but if you're not into those then there's the good ole fashioned newsletter. You can sign up to ours from the website and NEVER miss a thing !!!
I'm going to leave you now with a photo of these lovely ladies from the Sunday Project Life Class (we had a few missing, but they had good excuses, all except Helen) LOL !!!! This was our very LAST class at Barleylands and a memorable one it was to !!!
So I'm off do lots of preparing for the last week and hopefully see you Sunday !!!!

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking

Embedding Sparkles... video tutorial

Here’s a great little Technique, that shows you how to embed your WOW! Sparkles without the use of adhesives.
Enjoy.
