We started off the day with me going on my FIRST EVER drive in the States, I can't say I loved it, you see, I've never driven an automatic for a start and my poor left leg just kept wanting to do something, every time I put the brake on my left leg was looking for the clutch !!!! We stopped off at the lake and dipped our was like a bath!!!! Anyhoo's I'm not giving up the driving and I'm going to have another go today ... Watch out residents of Lake Geneva :) :)
We then went for a drive through the gorgeous State of Wisconsin, it's basically field after field after field of corn oh and lots of little and sometimes rather large red barns, the space these people have is quite astounding, and we thought we had a big garden at 100 ft... Pah !!!
Our destination was New Glarus a Swiss/Germanic town with its own brewery, but that's not before a whistle stop at a lovely rubber stamp shop in Janesville, it was called the Crackerbox Palace and what a little palace it was and the people there were so lovely and friendly, they had every kind of stamp design imaginable and her husband was in the basement making them... All fresh and new !!!
After that little encounter we made our way to the brewery and had a little self tour around the place, Jerry, Sue and Ricky were having tasters of beers such as Two Women, Fat Squirrel, Totally Naked and the one they're famous for Spotted Cow, to name a few!!! We then went into the town and it was like stepping into little Switzerland with Germanic influences :) :) there was a gorgeous gift shop there called Bladenhaus so I picked up a little gift for my mum, well, it would have been rude not to.
We then went and had dinner in the New Glarus Hotel. Note to self Rick DOES NOT like sauerkraut LOL.
As usual these photo will be in a completely random order. Sort of makes it more interesting :)

I feel very privileged to have been asked to design some cards using the fabulous Oakhouse Studio Products. Not only does she have some great stamps, ink pads and accessories but she also sells some amazing dyes that are so versatile, I love them !!! You have to check out her pipettes!!
Here's the first one of the three I designed.... You can check it out on her blog HERE, along with instructions...
I'll post the other two in the next couple of weeks ....
Enjoy xxxx

When it's a dress, of course !!!!
Here I've created a little bit of art using the fabulous JOFY stamps from PaperArtsy.
There's nothing not to like about these stamps, then again that goes for all of Jo's designs, simple yet effective and versatile.... See, they're not just for Christmas ... Makes you want to look at all your stamps and 'see' other ways of using them.

Happy December everyone Marion xxx

I'm very fortunate that I have some fabulous friends in this industry. And although we're all incredibly busy we get to meet up every so often.
From the possie of Leandra Franich, Julie Hickey, Paula Pacual, Emma Godfrey, Jo Firth Young and Lin Brown, only three of us were able to meet last week, namely Emma and Paula, although we missed the other guys, it didn't stop us eating, chatting and playing for the day.
It started with Paula sharing some of her lovely new Tonic products.... You absolutely need the pearlescent pastes .... They're gorgeous ....
Then off to the pub for a rather satisfying lunch, then back to mine where we put Emma on the spot...'show us some art journaling......... Pleeeeease'
And of course, Emma being Emma duly obliged, so out came my PaperArtsy paints and stamps along with my stencils and inks.... After being taught step by step, I can honestly say I'm hooked.... So much so that today after the gym myself and the lovely Polly came b…
