You'd forgotten a technique, you read a mag and it all comes flooding back.....That's why we tell people in the shop, one of the most important purchases you'll make is a GOOD magazine and if you're like me you'll keep it forever !!!
So this technique involved me getting out my trusty Scribble Flowers Stamp, it's out of production now, but I may just re-think that...I still LOVE it. Anyhoo's, all you do is turn the stamp over and ink up the solid side and stamp, then when you've done that in your choice of colours, turn the stamp back to the correct way and stamp onto the backgrounds....This works so well for this type of stamp. The leaves were from my "leaves" set, now there's a surprise!!! No they're not polka dot, but I wanted them to be so I just dotted with a pen. I loved making this card so much I made a few...
I know I was lazy, I should have changed the colours, I can see that now, but I'm pretty much addicted to blue's and greens at the mo. Anyway, I'm well chuffed with myself as I actually have cards ready to send.....All I need now is someone to send them to LOL !!!!

  1. What a brilliant technique! Totally fabby card created with it too :-D

  2. I love that technique. It reminds me of the Claudine Helmuth (?) stamps.
I don't need to buy them now though, do I?!!

    Love the cards

  3. Stunning cards - brilliant idea. If you're stuck for someone to send a card to, you could always send one to little 'ole me!!!

  4. Fab idea! I think you should re-launch the squiggle flowers, I really want them! You could send me a card too!?? They are gorgeous! xx

  5. Fabulous card, love that technique and had forgotten about it! Love the colours you've used too hugs Karen x

  6. Now who would have makes sense to turn the stamp over.

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking
