SIMPLE GIFT BAG... and the winner is...

First off let me show you a quick simple gift bag idea.
This time of year I find wrapping (presents that is, not singing) !! a complete pain, so many things don't come in boxes now, that would make it oh so much easier, but no !!!
So I often go for the simple gift bag, but sometimes it just needs a little jazz up.
It's one of my friends birthday real soon and I know she likes simple things but a bit blingy!!, so I just got a rather inexpensive silver bag (no offence Adrienne) !!
Used the back end of a paint brush to etch a design onto it, in this case a heart
Then just add bling and some yummy tulle and ribbons !!!

Just want to say thank you for all the comments from the last post, all the names were put into a draw ....... AND THE WINNER IS..... Jaki, well done, can you get in touch to give me your details please :) :)
It seems a LOT of you like the simple style, so here's a couple more very quick and simple crimbo cards.
This first one is using the lovely Paula Pascual Stamps - Joyful Bubbles - love these !!!
I've combined this with another of my favourites and that's small square kraft cards.
Then last but not least is this little simple one using a christmas embossing folder and adding some yummy Martha Snowflakes, obviously with a bit of bling in the centre. Note how I added the snowflakes first then embossed !!
So that's it for today, congrats Jaki and remember - keep christmas simple !!
Hugs
Marion xx

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking
