DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN

Seriously, that's what happened this weekend.
When a friend of mine knew we were going to Chicago she immediately got onto a friend of hers who lives in Chicago and said we were coming out and that was that! They took us into their arms and gave us the BEST weekend EVER.
They took us to their home at lake geneva in Wisconsin and all I can say there is WOW!!!! what a place. We shared their weekend exactly as they do. On the Saturday they took us to a restaurant on the lake via their boat ( very swish AND fast it was too ) and then we cruised around the east side of the lake. Bear in mind their lakes aren't like ours, you could walk all the way round it if you fancy a 26 mile hike!!! I'll take the boat thanks !! We then gatecrashed on some friends of theirs, they were all so friendly!!
Next day we went into lake geneva town, the shops are all little boutiques very nice and very expensive!! The we went bake to the lake front armed with snacks and drinks and after a dip in the lake took the boat out again this time cruising the west side, it's hard to explain the size of the houses on the lakefront, suffice it to say they were MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE. After a bit of relaxing on the lakefront ( as if the boat wasn't relaxing enough ) !! We then went back to the house to prepare dinner ( fresh corn picked that morning, marinated chicken, key lime pie) you get the picture!! For us and their friends and, well as they would say we had a blast !!! Then jerry bought us back to Chicago this morning (sheds a tear) BUT .... this guy manufactures his own product and has given me some to play with, woo hoo, I'll share it with you when I get back.
Anyway onwards and upwards, we're off to lake Michigan for a bit of sunshine now. Catch you later.

Yes, the ones are the Lake are fabulous and always have been. Glad you enjoyed our slice of heaven and thanks for writing about Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

3 and counting....

We’re at the 3rd trade show.... this year !!!!!!
To say I’m tired is an understatement, but there’s something about the shows plus adrenaline that just keeps you going.
There’s nothing better than teaching people new techniques and that’s what these shows are all about. That and having fun of course !!!
We’re all set up...this is the calm before the storm ;) we have so many new things to show this year, it makes it all the more exciting.
One of the best things about trade show shows is meeting up with buddies in the industry and even though I see Leandra and Mark (PaperArtsy) every week (we quiz together) it was great to go out with them last night.

Richard and Mark look like they’re praying, when in fact they were having a bald off 不不不不 Steve has more hair than both of them put together so as a gesture of kindness he hid his. 不不不不不  It’s now 6am, I’m ready to jump in the shower and get this day started... think of me standing from 8am to 6pm.... I hope you get to sit a lot m…

One for the Mums ...

In celebration of the fabulous Catherine Pooler Inks about to hit the store, I thought I'd pop a little card on here. Take a folded card base, I always make mine from card stock, then I know the piece on top is going to match perfectly. then cut a smaller piece and perforate the edges, you can use a perforating blade, if your trimmer has one, or there are many dies out there that do this in a snip ! Using the WOW! Embossing Powder Layered Hearts Stamps, I inked up and stamped using the Catherine Pooler Daydream, Aquatini and Skylight Inks.
Embellish with a Uni Ball Signo White Gel Pen, one of my favourites !!!
Finish off with the Mothers day sentiment from the WOW! Embossing Powder Everyday Sentiment Stamps, inked in Versafine Onyx Black, adhere with foam pads. Check out PAPERBOX for a great selection  of card stock. Thanks for looking
