A bit of a blur!

Ok here goes.....This is my first design team project.
I'm Louise and I have been crafting in one way or another for 10 years now, although I have only been scrapping for the last 4 years. I love the feeling of finishing a LO or a card!
So when I found out I had made it onto the DT I was so thrilled but worried at the same time, but then I got some of the wonderful stamps from Sugar and Spice and I couldn't wait to get started.
So here it is my first LO for the DT, a LO based around my night out seeing BLUR!

I cut red and blue cardstock into squares and layered on top of each other. I love using contrasting colours as they really stand out in LO's. I cut circles from the patterned paper ( I used paper trunk papers) and laid them over the photo. The circles almost act as a frame for the photo.
I then stamped the flowers from the Scribble flower stamp set and hand cut them out, I curved the petals slightly so they would sit raised from the page. I then taped them around the photo and used buttons and brads as the centers of the flowers. I love this stamp, the flowers are gorgeous and can be used in so many ways!

I also like to stamp straight onto the photo using Staz on ink as I have in this LO, I used the scribble flower set again and this time just inked the 'smile' part of one of the stamps.

Then I stamped onto the photo again using the stars from the Sugar and Spice Quotes Stamp Set .When stamping onto the photo your acrylic block may slide. You can stop this by adding 2 more stamps to the block after you have inked your main stamp (one either side of the inked up stamp) to act as grips. The stamps that have no ink grip onto the photo and this prevent the slide.
I really enjoyed doing this LO for the DT and I hope you like and feel inspired to create.
Thanks for stopping by and for having a little look.
