sugar and spice

My second post for the Jones Design Team this month is using the Kaiser Craft Mix & Match...Again...just love this collection... After that post we had a few of you in buying the collection, so what did you make with yours ? Here's a quick, and I mean quick layout. It's so simple and easy to work with. Now, being a mother of two boys I don't get many opportunities to use girly papers etc. But this range lends itself to masculine so well. and as I like to "pretty" things up I decided to punch out some butterflies, my boys won't mind, they're cool like that :) :) :) So just cut a few strips and banners and punch out a few shapes, et Voila !!! I was all posh on Tuesday, well, OK, I wasn't, but I did get invited to the Pinterest coffee morning in London. And I must say, it was fabulous, I learnt so much, had lots of fun and spent the day with two lovely ladies....oh yeah and had a cream tea just to top the day off !! The coffee morning was held at the fabulous Hospital Club in Endell Street, that, up until 1981, it was a maternity hospital and now it's a private members club for the creative arts. There was some amazing wallpaper in one of the loo's but I can't put it on here as I know we have some young readers, so you'll have to ask to look next time you're in the shop !!! Paula Poston and Julie Hickey were my London buddies, and we popped into Covent Garden and had a lovely lunch, in a French restaurant served by a Spanish man... So it was American burgers and chunky chips all round LOL !!! Julie broke her glasses and looked a little squiffy ( her words) but she still looks gorge to us!!!! ...

I'm in luuuuurve with this Collection from Kaisercraft. Is it because it combines three of my favourite colours to work with, black, white and kraft, or is it just because Mix & Match makes it so easy to put things together, both of the above really :) :) Then there's the added bonus of mini hexagons....cute !!!! Plus little white hearts....adorable !!!! And let's not overlook the gorgeous arrows....so 'right now' !!! Along with a few paper blooms from Kaisercraft, you can't go wrong !! I've been having a little chat with a few of you guys lately, and have been informed that whilst you read this blog you don't use Facebook. So, after I picked my chin up off the floor and brushed myself down, I realised that you're  missing out :( :(  I just assumed most people that use the internet use Facebook, silly of me, I know....I also realise I probably use it far too much LOL !!  So, without further ado, here's a little video I shared (on Facebook) last week.... I got to have a little play the other day with a new mould coming out with WOW Embossing Powders soooooon....fingers crossed !!! So put it to work alongside some rather yummy buttons, and a canvas and created this little treasure....  Then I thought, why stop there, let's add a bit of colour, so using the fabbi PaperArtsy paints I coloured this little box canvas and did the same....I love mixing white with ivory, it doesn't matter what colour the background is...it works !!! It's not often I get photos of Nicky (one of my sons girlfriends) but I got in there before she put her hand in front of her face....CAPTURED !!!! So I thought I'd celebrate the fact and use the photo on my Jones Craft Design Team Post... I was lucky enough to use the KaiserCraft Dream Big Collection and oh boy...what a pleasure, it's absolutely gorgeous, probably has something to do with the fact that there's TEAL in there LOL !!!! I gave the background a little splatter with my fav Heidi Swapp Color Shine in ...yep, you guessed it TEAL !!! Their was sooooooo many pieces to choose from in the Collectible pack, I'm not very good at making decisions Then it was a case of cutting and layering.... and adding some tiny sequins - it would be rude not to !!! Then a little bit more in the top left hand corner, with twine twirling help from Nina, I was all fingers and thumbs :) :) And her...

I dont get many of these.....No, I'm not looking for the sympathy vote LOL :) but I do appreciate them when they come along. This particular day was an impromptu BBQ, the sun was out and the boys were round with their girlfriends, so out came the camera and SNAP, SNAP, SNAP !!! Of course I had to put it into a Project Life layout, it would have been rude not to !!  I've used the scrummy WRMK Albums Made Easy Journaling cards Along with Project Life Design K Page Protectors.
