sugar and spice

Hello all, Its my turn again, and this time I have made a little mini book. I wanted to put together a little snap shot of my recent Take that concert. I have done 12 x 12 LOs but I wanted something that I could leave on show for people to have a nose through. I used an ATD ACCORDIAN BOOK CREAM The theme of the show was the circus, so I wanted papers that were bright and colourful to reflect the fun of the clowns (which the boys dressed up as). I used American craft papers, a range is available in store. I used the word part of the scribble flower stamps and the scrolls from the wedding invite stamps . I covered each part of the accordian book with the patterned papers and added my photos. I stamped words onto pieces of cardstock and added them to the pages as embellishments. I also stamped onto a button and onto ribbon and added these to a tag, this tag can be used for journalling or more photos. I hope you like my little book. Here are a few more pics x x

Hi again everyone, well its my time to create this month and this is what i have come up with! Using Cute as a Button stamps from Sugar and memento ink pads, and a pink theme (pink has to be my fav colour!) i made the following card, i think i have a major flower thing going on a the minute, as everything im making has a flower in it, on or or is a flower! Back to the stamps, as soon as i saw them, i knew they would be just soooo much fun! They are just totally cute, and the possiblilities of uses for them, you can use them for so many things, i could be here all day with list after list of uses for the buttons! So i had to use them for this months project, they are called Cute as a Button stamps from Sugar and Spice . I love the stitching on them too, such a brill set of stamps! Hello lovely ladies. My submission this time round is a simple card design that you can repeat using different stamps from the In A Word set and scraps from your stash to create cards for lots of different occasions and people. I just cut three lengths of paper from some leftovers I had in my stash, I keep these in 12 x 12 bags in colours so it's easy to find something when I need it. These I inked and tied a bow round each one to make the bows stepped. Then, using a glue pen and glamour dust I added a bit of sparkle to the flower centres on the paper. I then took a prima flower and stamped it with another Sugar and Spice flower favourite. Whilst that was drying, I stamped the Happy Birthday on another scrap of white, adding the pink bling to the corner and attached it to the flower with a coordinating brad. It's really simple and quick to do but quite effective.

Hello everyone, I don't know if anyone else is the same but I have a bit of tendency to scribble messages, notes, reminders on any bit of paper I can find close to hand, with the result that I have lots of scrappy little bits of paper on my desk, in my handbag, by the phone etc... and it goes without saying that I can never find the bit I am looking for when I want it! So in order to try resolve my paper chaos, I decided to make myself a little notebook that I can fit into my handbag and carry around with me and this is what I came up with: I started by cutting two pieces of chipboard to size - my book is 5" x 6" but you could adapt to any size preferred. I chose my patterned papers to cover my book - I used MME - wild asparagus and green cardstock for the insides and cut the binding holes using a Bind It All machine. Evening blogland! My creation this week is a little project that I have made many times for myself, others and taught many ladies ( and one bloke!) in a class. Its a flag book. Now these are wonderful if you have loads of photos from one subject or one event, like me in this instance. Me and my family went to Longleat for a couple of days this summer holiday and I took 329 photos! Not that you can fit 329 photos in a flag book but you can fit a Maximum of 64 photos. Now in Sugar and Spice we sell these fabby books in kit form. So yes you still have to make it with your own fair hands but we have taken some of the hard work away, like choosing the matching papers and supplying the instructions. These kits are £7.99 - cool huh?! It add a little bit of yum I used the 'Happy' and 'Smile' stamp from my favourite Sugar and Spice stamps - Scribble Flowers and the Alphabet stamps too . How lucky was I. Only happened to be in Sugar and Spice when Marion's new stamps where put out. So I had to have them to add to my collection. They are yummy. Go in and Have a peek. I decided to use the All Lined Up set for a simple layout featuring my niece and nephew. I just have to say "I want a nice photo of the you two" and they start mucking around, squeezing each other tight, digging each other in the ribs, but producing great pictures. Believe it or not, these were taken at the crematorium whilst taking flowers to Dad. I have to say, he would have got a kick out of the laughter and jokes that day. I used three pieces of card stock; Dark brown, Royal Blue and White layering them on top of each other. The blue matched the lining of Jamie's top and gave way the whole colour scheme for the LO. Beautiful. That is what this set of stamps i've used this time is! I love scribble sentiments ! I firstly cut a mask (I used a circle) and glimmer misted all around the edge, the mist I used was Wheatfields (which I do believe we had in the shop today although not many left...), it's one of the more versatile of the colours and goes with alot of different things. It gave the paper alittle glimmer and a distressed and grungey feel. I added three photographs along the top that were approx 4" x 3" and then a whole strip of patterned paper underneath. I used a pre-printed journalling card and some thickers (which we also have in the shop in LOTS of colours and fonts!) which I embellished with a button, a little flower and a cute embellie. I then stamped a line of 'love you' using the scribble sentiment stamps...!
