Cupcakes Birthday

I just love cupcakes, i think they are just adorable... and also very yummy!  These set of stamps are just the cutest. They are from the scribble sentiments stamps set from  Sugar and Spice and also the Happy Birthday Flower set.  I stamped lots of the little cupcakes all over for a backing paper, then stamped out and decoupaged the larger cupcakes, added some glitter and inked around the punched shape with Tim Holtz Blue Denim ink pad. I thought the red ribbon just sets it off with the little red hearts topping the yummy cupcakes!

When time is not on your side

but you need to make a quick card for someone, I always reach for my Sugar and Spice 'In a word' set.  I like that this set contains a number of sentiments, all great for cardmaking, to use in various sizes and fonts.  I recently needed to make a card in a hurry for a friend who had suddenly been taken ill and this is the end result: I used the 'Get well soon' sentiment from the set which I stamped in versafine ink onto a tab I'd punched out from cardstock.  I added a ready made topper for ease, chose and cut some co-ordinating background paper, added a length of ribbon, stuck it all together onto my card, gave the card some fancy edges with a border punch and hey presto: a get well soon card made in under ten minutes. Nic :-)

Wedding Time

Hi everyone its that time of year, loads of weddings approaching and so many people I know are having babies.........................anyway here's one for the wedding day. I covered a white card with some pretty wedding paper and then used the all important scribble sentiment stamps from sugar and spice . These stamps are fab for bending slightly so stamping around a circle can be achieved easily. I made this simple cake with help a mather stewart paper punch. Check them out at sugar and spice , there are loads to choose from. Have a super sunny sunday. Bye for now and happy crafting P x

Back to basics

Hi Ladies Well as the title says, it's back to basics for this posting. I've had this photo for ages, I love it. It's from a trip to Scotland a long time back, to the place where my family on my mother's side come from and is a picture of one of the many beautiful waterfalls just by the road. I've let the photo really lead the colourscheme and choice of embellishments for this layout. These are gorgeous corner stamps from the Flourishes set, and they add a nice formal touch to this layout. They are beautifully detailed and elegant. Happy scrapping.

Keep hold of your packaging.....

as along with a few scraps of paper, gems and a couple of favourite sugar and spice stamps, you can make a really unique project! My sis has celebrated her birthday this week and I wanted to make her a card that was a little bit different this time around.  I am a bit of a hoarder and keep everything from the packaging my crafting goodies are wrapped in to the tiny little bits of paper left over from a project, so decided to get recycling and find a use for some of those scraps.  I started by painting the plastic piece of packaging left over from a packet of brads in white acrylic paint then dabbing a bit of pink ink over the top. I measured the squares from the packaging and cut 6 squares to size from scraps of paper which I then rounded with a corner punch.  I inked all the edges and decorated each piece using more scraps, tiny gems, brads, and of course, my stamps - an initial, the tiny flower and swirl stamps from the Alpha set and a greeting from the In a word set.  I used di
