They're on their way back in......AGAIN...Yay !!! We can't stop ordering these little babies. I think it's one of the dies of the year, for me anyway, and I think all of you who got them will agree.
You can make the quickest, simplest cards for any occasion...love it !!!! I know they're not going to last long again, that's why I'm giving you the heads up, as soon as they land I'll get them back up on the website :) :) This Friday from 4pm is the Barlaylands Christmas Shopping Event, they'll be carollers, Santa, an auction, demos and LOTS, LOTS more going on. So pop on over if you're down this way This Saturday is our FREE CLASS day, our little way of saying thank YOU for all your support, we really do appreciate it :) :) I'm going to be showing you how to mix your own WOW Embossing Powder colour and you'll be leaving with a gorgeous little card. We've got NEW classes for December and January up on the site...you can check them out here...... …
Where do I begin ?????
Well, I suppose I should start with a reminder that it's the Sugar and Spice Customer Market Event TOMORROW (Saturday24th November) this is our second event and if the first one was anything to go by it's gonna be a corker !!! Join us between 10am and 4pm
There's so much yummy stash to be grabbed and sooooo much of it is BRAND NEW !!! I still remember the lady at the last one, filled three big baskets and it only came to just over £30.00 ...now that's not bad is it !!!
Now, while you're in the shop tomorrow, you'll be in the right place at the right time, as we have the Amazing WOW Limited Edition Embossing Powder Kits BACK IN STOCK.... these were the ones we demonstrated at Ally Pally - You just LOVED them... You can view them on the website HERE
and see them in all their colour glory...but just to whet your appetite here's a little sneak ... along with some new stamp designs and re-stocks of the FABULOUS, and anyone who's used…
This month for Fantastic Ribbons we were asked to do something re: Christmas Home Decor.....and....well...OK this may not be exactly home decor, but it is decorative and in my home...so I thought it counts !!!
Every Christmas I promise myself I'm going to get organised, but with a hefty work load and my brain just not what it used to be, I'm finding myself writing things down more - So, what could be nicer than jotting down all my christmas notes, recipes and tips in this gorgeous little note pad and furthermore with all those yummy ribbons hanging off of it, I'm going to find it easily, The photo's not brill (sorry Kirsty) but if you look closely you can see that I've taken a length of ribbon and about a third up folded it back on itself to make a loop, this gives it a nice bit of dimension, layer each piece up and there you have it....Now to fill in my first page.
That title above should be my middle name.... even if I try and go grungy, I just can't do it. so I'll stick to what I love :) :)
This card can work for so many occasions, and these are the sort I like to have a stock pile of, ready to whip one out when need be.
The technique is simple the WOW Embossing Powders are effective.
Take 2 pieces of square white card, one smaller than the other, it's up to you what size you want to do this. and attach the smaller one on top of the larger one with repo adhesive, ink up your WOW Brocade Clear Stamp using Versamark Ink (other inks are available, but we LOVE this one) !! keeping your stamp on the table facing up, lay your card on top of the stamp and rub all over the back of the card to transfer the ink, then using the NEW WOW Caribbean Jewels Embossing Glitter Kit (available at Sugar and Spice NOW !!!!) pinch and sprinkle one colour over the stamped design, shake off, then taking another colour from the set pour all over and shak…
Whilst I have been missing, off this blog anyway, I've certainly been in action !!! For the last 5 days I've been away with the team from WOW Embossing Powder, at the NEC in Birmingham, teaching, demoing and generally chatting away to their customers for them....it's all been good fun, tiring but really enjoyable at the same time.
Here's two of the cards I designed for the classes
This one was showing how to mix your own colour embossing powder and make embellies with the fabulous Melt-IT.
Here, we embossed over embossing over embossing and then made more little embellies, again with the Melt-IT... the classes were so successful we sold out of some product so I had to quickly (and I mean quickly) do a new design for the last day...keeps me on me toes !!! Next year we definitely need a bigger classroom !!!
It was great to see so many of you there and thanks for not only supporting me at Sugar and Spice but also in my role for WOW
