A LITTLE PROJECT LIFE INSPO....

My post for the Jones Design Team for November is rather late....Yes, I did say November, you see I had to wait for the fabulous Captued Moments Right Now Cards from Kaisercraft....but the wait was worth it....they're gorgeous and so versatile !!!! The thing I love about Kaisercraft is their packs are sold in 6" x 4" or 3" x 4", just fab if you run out of one size, you don't have to buy a mixed pack and can get just the size you need. Project Life or should I say Pocket Scrapbookng.....doesn't have to be flat and it doesn't have to take hours, you can knock up a layout in no time with a page protector, a few cards and a few embellies. The tip I want to give you in this one, is DONT worry if your photo is wider than the pocket, just look for a place to cut it and you can split it between pockets. All you have to do is take two cards and pop a bit of washi on the back to hold them together. Next, flip them over and adhere your photo on the cards

NO TIME...

Life is moving at such a fast pace, it seems to go faster the older you get. So sometimes you just have to work on the quick. My layout for the Layout A Week Blog is just that....simple but effective. You can check it out here There's a great little tip for all those alpha's laying around. Hugs  Marion xxxx

WHEN CANDY MEETS KAISER.....

It's that time again, actually I'm a little late ....whoops !!! For my Jones Design Team project, and I've got to be honest here, I kept putting this project off, "why" you ask...well, quite simply because when I opened the package from Jones, I gave out a little squeal followed by a sigh... a squeal because of the stash I received, a sigh because I looked at it and thought, "when am I going to get time to do this"? It looked so complicated and there were so many little bits to the Candy Box Crafts Rotary Craft Storage Unit, but seriously it takes longer to say than do LOL !!! These guys really know their stuff, the "building" of it couldn't have been simpler, in fact I got it all out and put it all together in no time, so much so that i forgot to take a picture of all the bits. There are so many gorgeous papers out there that will compliment this product, and Sandra, in her wisdom, sent me the Kaisercraft Mister Fox collection, nice one

POCKETS WITH PIZZAZZ.....

Not sure if you know, but now that Scrap 365 has gone out of publication it doesn't mean it's gone...... Oh no.... You can still get tons of inspo from their regular blog. I was very honoured to be part of that blog just the other day when I got to be a guest designer on there....thank you Scrap 365. This is the layout I created for them, I was completely inspired from the wonderful Teresa Collins and her gold reign that's going on at the mo, with a little Heidi Swapp'ness' also :) :) You can get full details on how this was created by just popping over to their blog HERE .....AND.......... that's not all, if you leave a comment you'll also be in with a chance of winning the 6 brand NEW WOW Embossing Powders, It's as simple as that !!! Embossing Powder Brand. After all the teaching, we do a mini trade show on the Sunday. Here's a few picci's of some of the fabulous manufacturers there. Here's a little snippet of just a tiny bit of our stand, well, I had to put that first didn't I !!! Canvas Corp were our neighbours and lovely they were too The Elizabeth Craft Designs stand was so long, I should have done it on a panoramic, to here's Els lovely daughter ready to take orders. Here's the fabulous Craft Dee Bows, this lady is just adorable :) :) although you can only see her arm :) . The guy in the background is the lovely Tim, said owner of the Collins Group Company. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BAUBLES...

My second post this month (just got in) LOL ... For the Jones Design Team is again using the lovely Graphic 45 T'was the Night Before Christmas collection. This time I'm making little baubles, as taught to me years ago by the lovely Paula Brown.   They're so quick and simple to make, so get the kids involved and you can fill a tree in no time. You can use any size circle punch, my fav is the 1.75" , so go ahead and punch out loads of circles On a scoreboard score down the centre, do this on all the circles Using DST adhere the halves together Keep going all the way round, but before you finish pop a bit of Glossy down one of the joins and add some folded twine Finish off by adding more circles And hang with pride....now I just have to make a few more to add to my 'tree' Happy bauble making Hugs Marion xx     Another great post bought to you by Sugar and Spice Crafts

STAYING CREATIVELY SANE....

This is a little homage to the two wonderful ladies who have helped me no end, getting ready for the Handmade Fair.....i couldn't have done it without you guys ....Thank you Paula and Suzanne, I started off with this gorgeous little Maya Road Calendar stand......but did I use it for a calendar ... NO... to me, it's a mini album, actually everything in my life is a mini album....I love them. It's fab as it has such a sturdy acrylic base and thick chipboard pages, that it takes Heidi Swapp Colour Shine just perfect. I know you can't see it clearly here, but the mica is just beautiful. I've done every other page, using the fab PaperArtsy collage background technique, as shown to us by the wonderful Leandra. I could happily teach this technique forever as no two ever come out the same !!! I may just do another class in it...watch out for the Sugar and Spice newsletter.       And yes, of course it will be on display at the show :) :) Hugs Marion xxx   Another great po
