It's that time again, actually I'm a little late ....whoops !!! For my Jones Design Team project, and I've got to be honest here, I kept putting this project off, "why" you ask...well, quite simply because when I opened the package from Jones, I gave out a little squeal followed by a sigh... a squeal because of the stash I received, a sigh because I looked at it and thought, "when am I going to get time to do this"?
It looked so complicated and there were so many little bits to the Candy Box Crafts Rotary Craft Storage Unit, but seriously it takes longer to say than do LOL !!!
These guys really know their stuff, the "building" of it couldn't have been simpler, in fact I got it all out and put it all together in no time, so much so that i forgot to take a picture of all the bits.
There are so many gorgeous papers out there that will compliment this product, and Sandra, in her wisdom, sent me the Kaisercraft Mister Fox collection, nice one Sandra !!!! There were quite a few to choose from but I went for the simplistic everyday look, I have plans for the other stash !!
I can honestly say, everyone NEEDS one of these bad boys in their crafting lives, it holds so much stash, with loads of compartments on top and four drawers beneath and get this....it ROTATES.....EEEEKKK !!! I love it !!!
Anyhoo's here's what i did :
As per the instructions I put it all together first before decorating, I applied a couple of coats of KaiserCraft KaiserColour paint in Sage and Antique White, then applied a bit of dry brushing.
Then it was down to cutting into the Fearless paper from the Mister Fox Collection and covering, I just applied DST top and bottom, as simple as that :)
For the drawers, I used a Cropodile to punch a hole and then tied ribbon through.
Then it was on to decorating the front
I used one of the KaiserCraft Wood Flourishes "Bird Twig" I painted it then applied Embossing Powder to give it a bit of texture.
I gathered a few of the KaiserCraft paper Blooms and first edged them in paint.
Followed by a bit of Embossing Powder., I glued these to the front and added bits of twine.
And now I've started to fill it with come of my favourite Pocket Scrapbooking stash.
I've popped some buttons in one of the drawers, well it would have been rude not to !!
So if you're looking for storage, especially storage that spins, go treat yourself, you wont regret it.
Hugs
