As usual, it's not hard to enter all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me what's the weirdest thing you've ever embossed, don't worry if you haven't embossed anything weird, just leave a comment anyway !! Please do NOT run to the zoo and emboss a penguin, as, whilst that would be weird it would also be very cruel :) :)
Shipments are on their way from CHA, so don't forget we have our MAHOOSIVE PAPER SALE on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March, ALL 12' x 12" loose paper/card is in it...init !!!
Anyhoo's I'm feeling on top of the world as I've just tidied my craft room, only to mess it all up again, but it is a good feeling !!!

  11. Not sure I've embossed the wierd, but do like putting some stick glue on the edge of a piece of card when decorating and using as a topper, then dapping the edge in embossing powder & heating for an interesting edging effect. (I do sometimes use full-stops!) Bring on the WOW!

  32. Aw, missed your presence at Make It in Farnboroigh yesterday ( where I 'found' you last year).
Ok weird embossing....am ashamed that I once embossed the scuff marks caused by driving on the heel of my black and most comfy boots....I was going somewhere important and they weren't looking great! It worked, but was very temporary..if I'd had to drive I reckon I'd have been back at square one. The boots have been replaced, but I still have a pot of black embossing powder if I need it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love WOW embossing powders, they're the best and I also love embossing!!! Not really embossed anything wierd - tried to emboss some ribbon once but it just shrivelled up!!Thanks for the chance to win xx

  37. I would love to win anything so thankyou for giving me a chance. I never embossed anything weird but my first ever paper project as an adult was my wedding invites. I never had a heat gun so placed my iron underneath & embossed 80 wedding cakes. I don't recommend this but it worked .... Quite long winded this way so much easier using a heat gun :)

Not really embossed anything weird, I did emboss a skeleton leaf once. I inked it up with Versamark on a piece of paper, picked it up by its stem and poured embossing powder on it. I then heat set it - doh ! - it stuck to the paper!
Have done it since and remembered to pick the leaf up before heating it! Thank you for the chance to win some of these wonderful powders hugs karen x

  45. Hi, I like to emboss my projects as it gives an elegant and expensive look! Got some on the table once and was a nightmare to remove, now use my glass mat all the time!

    ReplyDelete
  46. What about a PICTURE of a penguin to emboss then? :) I have embossed my big toe...does this count as weird....it wasn't intentional by any means ....I spilled my embossing powder and some landed on my bare feet then I accidently dropped my hot wand gem fixer and it landed on my big toe which had embossing powder on ...the hot wand melted the powder onto my toenail....very ouchy!

    ReplyDelete

  58. Hi Marion. I've not embossed for years but as it happens I've been on a weekend craft retreat and we took along stuff we don't use. So I have been playing with my embossing powders and would love some more - especially coloured ones. The wierdest thing I embossed are words and flowers I made out of wire - they looked gorgeous! Thanks for a chance of winning :)

  60. Nothing weirder than the kitchen work surface, and I was using a craft mat! Thought heat would lift it if I worked fast but it cooled to quickly...... it's wearing off slowly though. Need to emboss more and love the look of wow, hope I'm lucky! Thanks Mars xxx
