as along with a few scraps of paper, gems and a couple of favourite sugar and spice stamps, you can make a really unique project!
My sis has celebrated her birthday this week and I wanted to make her a card that was a little bit different this time around. I am a bit of a hoarder and keep everything from the packaging my crafting goodies are wrapped in to the tiny little bits of paper left over from a project, so decided to get recycling and find a use for some of those scraps.
I started by painting the plastic piece of packaging left over from a packet of brads in white acrylic paint then dabbing a bit of pink ink over the top.
I measured the squares from the packaging and cut 6 squares to size from scraps of paper which I then rounded with a corner punch. I inked all the edges and decorated each piece using more scraps, tiny gems, brads, and of course, my stamps - an initial, the tiny flower and swirl stamps from the Alpha set and a greeting from the In a word set. I used different coloured versafine inks for all the inking and stamped images.
I then attached each decorated square using silicone glue to the packaging. To finish I then made an aperture card by in co-ordinating colours, added a couple of gems and here's the finished card:
Thanks for looking,
Nic.
