Hello again ladies.
I've just celebrated my 40th birthday with some pretty fantastic friends and family, I suspect it's going to take a bit to get the house back in order, the balloons are still floating, the cupcakes are almost gone, and I felt the need to thank a few special people who really helped me with preparations and travelled a long way to attend. And of course for all my lovely gifts.
I've not really used this lovely stamp set before to it's full potential so it was great to get it out and use almost every one on this card.
I started off by cutting the backing paper square and stamping the greeting from the Scribble Sentiments set. Masking this off I then stamped the stems of the button flowers.
By stamping them using different ink colours on a separate piece of card I could then mount the buttons after trimming using foam pads. This made them stand out more. Before I did that I pierced the button holes and threaded through some different coloured flosses.I don't know about you but I'm enjoying the start of the lighter mornings and evenings, and the very early signs of the beginning of spring, which is showing through in my crafting. I'm finding myself drawn to greens and pastels. And my creative juices seem to be waking up.... I hope you're feeling it too.
