Well, it's not long to go now, one more sleep then the big day is with us!! I bet most of us have been frantically trying to do all the things we need to to prepare for tomorrow recently and one of the things I've been busy making are money wallets. The teenagers I give presents to all tend to want money as their gift these days so I make a special little wallet envelope to present their money in as I think it just adds a little extra something and they are really quick and easy to make!
You can adapt the wallets for both christmas and birthday and as I've had both this month here are photos of two I've made. The first is for christmas - I've used Luxe patterned papers, an American crafts topper and the happy stamp from the scribble flowers set which I've stamped in perfect medium ink then heat embossed using tinsel embossing powder.
The second is a birthday wallet I made for a birthday gift. I used the number and part of greeting stamps from the happy birthday with a cherry on top set.
To make all you need is a piece of cardstock or heavy weight patterned paper cut to 6.5" width and 8" length. You then need to fold and score (I use a bone folder to get my edges nice and sharp) at 3", 3.5" (this piece makes the wallet) and at 1.5". Secure the wallet section with two pieces of DST and decorate as you please. I usually put a blank square on the back of the wallet to write my greeting.
I hope everyone has a lovely christmas and I'll see you all in the new year!
love and hugs to all, Nic xo

Nic what a lovely way to give money. I'm gonna have a go at these as I too have to send money gifts now. Happy Christmas. Have a great one. x
