PROJECT LIFE WATERCOLOUR CARD

After watching a fabbi video from Heidi Swapp, I just had to have a little play.... So I got me some high quality watercolour paper, die cut it using my Project Life Die and then added another little bit of die cutting, using the fabbi Text die from this lot . Can't decide which one's my favourite, I love them all.... Then I simply got a selection of gorgeous Heidi Swapp Color Shine bottles, gave them a little stroke then spritzed them on the card, I also spritzed the flowers, to bring the colour in.   As I had used the text die 'happy' I stamped 'birthday' underneath from this little set

MAKING THE MOST OF IT....

There's no denying it, my life is mega busy at the mo, I only get one day off a week...c'mon let's hear it...arhhhhhh :) :)  Since getting this one day off, I've been spending it catching up with friends and just, well, enjoying myself :) :)  This Monday was no exception, to celebrate the lovely Suzanne's birthday we took a trip to London, had a bit of pampering and shopping in the wonderful Jo Malone's I thoroughly recommend it !!!  We had a lovely lunch at the Royal Exchange and then walked, yes walked, we really needed to burn lunch off, to the Tower of London.........and WOW what a sight. The Sea of Poppies (don't know if that's it's correct title, but that what I've called it) was a STUNNING sight to see.. Not the best pic here, but if you look closely you can see it coming out of the wall above !! Here they meander around the Tower And this is the other side and they've mapped out further round ready for more ...

AND A LITTLE MORE MIX & MATCH...

My second post for the Jones Design Team this month is using the Kaiser Craft Mix & Match...Again...just love this collection... After that post we had a few of you in buying the collection, so what did you make with yours ? Here's a quick, and I mean quick layout. It's so simple and easy to work with. Now, being a mother of two boys I don't get many opportunities to use girly papers etc. But this range lends itself to masculine so well. and as I like to "pretty" things up I decided to punch out some butterflies, my boys won't mind, they're cool like that :) :) :) So just cut a few strips and banners and punch out a few shapes, et Voila !!! ORRRF WE GO.......

I was all posh on Tuesday, well, OK, I wasn't, but I did get invited to the Pinterest coffee morning in London. And I must say, it was fabulous, I learnt so much, had lots of fun and spent the day with two lovely ladies....oh yeah and had a cream tea just to top the day off !! The coffee morning was held at the fabulous Hospital Club in Endell Street, that, up until 1981, it was a maternity hospital and now it's a private members club for the creative arts. There was some amazing wallpaper in one of the loo's but I can't put it on here as I know we have some young readers, so you'll have to ask to look next time you're in the shop !!! Paula Poston and Julie Hickey were my London buddies, and we popped into Covent Garden and had a lovely lunch, in a French restaurant served by a Spanish man... So it was American burgers and chunky chips all round LOL !!! Julie broke her glasses and looked a little squiffy ( her words) but she still looks gorge to us!!!! ...

MIX & MATCH...

I'm in luuuuurve with this Collection from Kaisercraft. Is it because it combines three of my favourite colours to work with, black, white and kraft, or is it just because Mix & Match makes it so easy to put things together, both of the above really :) :) Then there's the added bonus of mini hexagons....cute !!!! Plus little white hearts....adorable !!!! And let's not overlook the gorgeous arrows....so 'right now' !!! Along with a few paper blooms from Kaisercraft, you can't go wrong !!
