YOU! have a story to tell :D

I just wanted to stop by and tell you about my class at the end of June, yes we are nearly in June ;) It's on Sunday the 28th of June and starts at 10am. It runs all day long!! What better to do with your Sunday than to spend it at Sugar and Spice. Anyhoo, in the morning we will be making a mini book to keep a record of your memories you want to scrap and in the afternoon a LO which will use some of the journalling techniques we'll be talking about. The whole day is revolving around journalling and how YOU have a story to tell in your scrapping and mini books. The day also comes along with a handout which gives heaps of ideas for journalling; ideas to get you writing, different ways of writing and how to incorporate journalling on your LOs. We'll also pass around some examples too to get your juices flowing! It's also a great class if you're stuck in the rut of just scrapping birthdays, Christmases and all those 'typical' scrap pages... this one will really ...

NEED TO MAKE A QUICKIE ...

No....it's not the newest card on here, but I have had requests to show it again. It's such a simple card to make ..... So, here goes... You'll need:- white square card, patterned background paper, large fabric flower, some gorgeous ribbon, ink, plain Bazzill cardstock for stamping on and of course the "Build a Flower" stamps from Personal Impressions...All of which are available from Sugar and Spice Crafts Cut background paper to card size, attach ribbon making a tie closure at the front, attach large flower using DST, stamp out desired "petals" and centre of your choice on plain cardstock, cut these out, remember...when cutting out stamped images always leave a border between stamped image and finished cut. Attach "petals" to the back of the stamped centre and attach all to the fabric flower. ...And there you go ....a quick, simple and effective card.

Oh ... THOSE LAZY, HAZY, DAYS OF SUMMER....

What a gorgeous day it was today. My lovely mum gave me the day off today and as Ricky was off as well, we decided to take Tyson (our chocolate labrador) to Thorndon Country Park, and lovely it was too, that was until Ty decided to get in the water with the ducks, not realising there was quite a steep ledge and he couldn't get out... I must be wicked as I asked Rick to wait on his rescue until I'd taken a shot ...A true scrapper I'd say!!! ....And rescue him he did, at which point he called to me to get out of the way, as what do dogs do on exit from water....that's right ...SHAKE !!! and boy did he SHAKE, we were covered in dirty muddy water!! He soon got over his little trauma and was off running around like a looney... Does this take you back to your childhood...days of just playing in the fields for hours, while mum was cooking the dinner, and there we were checking if we liked butter or not....BUTTERCUPS...don't you just love them !! Today was also the end of a...

SUNDAY MORNING QUICKIE....

Here's a nice little easy one for you this Sunday... Stamp out your title (I used Banana Frog Pharmacy Large), Cut two circles from co-ordinating cardstock, keeping with a green theme, I used Olive Vine Glimmer Mist on the Twiddleybitz chipboard flourishes. Cut out your stamped letters and arrange, Place flowers around smaller circle (I put diamontes in the centre of each one) I also hand drew "little stitches" around the large circle. I used the wonderful "Collal" glue to stick down the chipboard - it's super!!! Attach your photos and lastly stamp a journalling block in the corner, again BF. and there you go a very quick and easy layout. Now go play, as it looks like it's going to rain all day.....

OH...HAPPY DAYS.....

After an absolutely wonderful but shattering long weekend in the shop, I turned up on Tuesday with little flutterings going on.....this was the day that all the NEW GOODIES were arriving, and arrive they did, right in the middle of a meeting, with a lovely lady called Helen (sorry Helen)!!!, it was the first time she'd met me and Nina and at the sound of the knock on the back door, Nina jumps up, squeals, claps hands and gets rather excited, as did I, although I did try to stay a bit more professional about it (Oh alright I didn't)!! But I did jump up and promptly make the guy a cup of tea...well you have to look after these men, don't you. So the last two days have been hard work, getting it all checked, priced and on display, and that we did, boy, we're getting good at these impossipuzzles :) So what do we have.....Well there's the rather lush goodies from Heidi Swapp, I had a quick play today with the Invisibles and Mega Masks....well one has to try the products...

WHAT A LOVELY DAY......

Today I taught for the first time in what seemed like absolutely ages. We made this lovely Mini Tag Album, full of summer colours and just absolutely gorgeous, it was perfect as the sun was shining and the music was playing from the live bands on the green at the front of the shop, we had a real giggle in the class, obviously it wasn't me that was doing all the talking, that would be Janet and Sara, I just did a LOT of laughing, at the end of the class we all felt like we'd had a face lift - ha, who needs Botox !!! Nina worked like a looney this afternoon, where did all those people come from ?? well done hun!!! After having such a great day today, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the weekend, I hope the woman who was still singing at 6 o'clock this evening over there is back again tomorrow, she was really good!!
